Footwear import to Russia shows stable growth of about 30% a year, and it also gradually moves away from the center of the country causing players on the shoe market to research consumer situation in the regions. Granted, aristocratic and bohemian Saint-Petersburg (which accounts for 25% of all fashion sales in the country) does not exactly give fair representation to the consumers’ demand in the rest of the country, but for the Northwestern part of Russia it serves as its own exemplary capital. Tatiana Brava, founder and CEO of the TB Fashion Group, tells SHOES magazine about consumer behavior and the mood of footwear retailers in Saint Petersburg’s luxury segment.
